In 2004 Compass Records purchased a new building for the
label, and along with the building came a studio. They
asked me to put it back together for them, and Compass
Sound Studio was born. The studio began life in the early
70's as the Glaser Brothers Studio, also known in those
days as Hillbilly Central. Many legendary albums were
recorded there, including albums by John Hartford, Waylon
Jennings, and Willing Nelson. The room has also spent time
as Battery Studio, Nashville and as Dreamhire Pro Gear
rental.
Please feel free to contact me if you're interested in
recording at Compass Sound Studio!
